Work joyfully and peacefully knowing that right thoughts and right efforts inevitably bring about right results.

In short it may be said that on paper the obligations to settle international disputes peacefully are now so comprehensive and far-reaching that it is almost impossible for a state to resort to war without violating one or more solemn treaty obligations.

If anything we older people yearn for a peaceful world even more than young people do. We are the ones who lost friends or relatives in some war. We are the ones who have lived a lifetime of seeing and reading about human suffering.

If the president is failing to disclose material facts with regard to legislation being presented to the Congress on a question as important as war and peace I think it does impair the level of trust that the House and the Senate have for this administration.

I believe the main solution is to gain the trust of Europe and America and to remove their concerns over the peaceful nature of our nuclear industry and to assure them that there will never be a diversion to military use.

Foreign policy is about trying to deliver for them the best possible economic benefits the chance to travel to study to work the opportunity through trade to be able to sell their goods and services and as much peace and security so they can live and bring their kids up so they don't have to fear war.

Along with that ongoing process Sinn Fein took a decision to establish a peace commission which had the responsibility to travel around the country to receive submissions from the general public also our opponents.

Let us not forget that the European Community started as a project for peace after the terrible Second World War. And today people take for granted the freedom to travel to study to work abroad. And the citizens of one country have almost exactly the same rights as another country.

We all have to announce our full solidarity with the struggle of those seeking freedom and justice in Syria and translate this sympathy into a clear political vision that supports a peaceful transition to a democratic system of rule that reflects the demands of the Syrian people for freedom.

I was motivated by just thinking that if you had all this external success that everyone would love you and everything would be peaceful and wonderful.
