This is a work of fiction. All the characters in it human and otherwise are imaginary excepting only certain of the fairy folk whom it might be unwise to offend by casting doubts on their existence. Or lack thereof.
I think that men know how to romance a woman and most do it well at least for a time otherwise women wouldn't marry them. The problem is that most of them begin to rest on their laurels.
