A wholesome oblivion of one's neighbours is the beginning of wisdom.

However much we may sympathize with a small nation confronted by a big and powerful neighbours we cannot in all circumstances undertake to involve the whole British Empire in a war simply on her account.

The war on terror is the most insane and immoral war of all time. The Americans are doing what they did in Vietnam bombing villages. But how can a civilised nation do this? How can you can eliminate suspects their wives their children their families their neighbours? How can you justify this?

To our Palestinian neighbours I assure you that we have a genuine intention to respect your right to live independently and in dignity. I have already said that Israel has no desire to continue to govern over you and control your fate.

Our object should be peace within and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and with the world at large.

A nation is a society united by a delusion about its ancestry and by common hatred of its neighbours.
