The pine stays green in winter... wisdom in hardship.

I belong to a nation which over the past centuries has experienced many hardships and reverses. The world reacted with silence or with mere sympathy when Polish frontiers were crossed by invading armies and the sovereign state had to succumb to brutal force.

I mean we are tribal by nature and sometimes success and material wealth can divide and separate - it's not a new philosophy I'm sharing - more than hardship hardship tends to unify.

There is no success without hardship.
