I just think that I'll never have plastic surgery if I'm not in front of the camera. If you make your living selling this thing which is the way you look then maybe you do it. But trust me the minute I'm directing or producing and not starring I would never even think of it.
My college degree was in theater. But the real reason if I have any success in that milieu so to speak is because I spent a lot of years directing I spent a lot of years behind the camera.

I would love to direct but I feel like directing is a whole separate craft and so I tend to respect it as a separate craft that I would need to study first. Directing has only increased my admiration and respect for what it is that actors do.
What I learned from directing I learned from soccer where it's like a coach-player relationship.
Well Toronto I consider to be the birthplace of my films. I've made three films and this is the third one to premiere here in the same theater on the same day at the same time - they are my audience. They're the people that I think about while I'm writing directing and editing. I specifically make movies for them.

But when I felt like I had something to prove? Then I got up early every morning and worked all day long. I didn't know if I had any more talent than anyone else directing but I knew I could work hard at it and so I did.
I'm trying to get in the habit of you know picking up a book and learning how to write my feelings down not my feelings but my thoughts about things and hopefully I'll moving toward the writing and directing thing soon.
