I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise what is there to defend?

Where the private sector or anyone else has skills knowledge and resources that can help to deliver a high quality of education and to raise standards we should use them.

You cannot blame the mismanagement of the economy or the fact that we have not invested adequately in education in order to give our people the knowledge the skills and the technology that they need in order to be able to use the resources that Africa has to gain wealth.

Meat is a wasteful use of water and creates a lot of greenhouse gases. It puts enormous pressure on the world's resources. A vegetarian diet is better.

Americans are gathering the courage to just say no. We are saying no to addictive consumer lifestyles. We are saying no to wars and corporate takeover and the IMF loans that gobble up people and their resources.

Courage enlarges cowardice diminishes resources. In desperate straits the fears of the timid aggravate the dangers that imperil the brave.

My message to you all is of hope courage and confidence. Let us mobilize all our resources in a systematic and organized way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation.

Technology is like water it wants to find its level. So if you hook up your computer to a billion other computers it just makes sense that a tremendous share of the resources you want to use - not only text or media but processing power too - will be located remotely.

If you could utilize the resources of the end users' computers you could do things much more efficiently.

But despite the universality of URLs we often forget that they're not just a handy way to address network resources. They're also valuable communication tools.
