I'd really like to get the girl shoot the gun drive the car have fun. I even have these kind of action dreams where I'm the action guy.

The thing people don't understand is that touring or travelling or whatever you do in my position means you go to all these cool places all over the world but you see everything from a car window. You don't get to see much of the city or meet people at all.

I like the guitar better these days. I like the bass too but it's hard to fit a bass amp in a small car.

I know people think we drive around in these nice cars and we do whatever we want and our parents will pay our credit cards but that's not the case. Sure my parents were generous I got a nice car at 16 but at 18 I was cut off. I've worked really hard. I opened the store myself.

When you first get money you buy all these things so no one thinks you're mean and you spread it around. You get a chauffeur and you find yourself thrown around the back of this car and you think I was happier when I had my own little car! I could drive myself!

I have a need to make these sorts of connections literal sometimes and a vehicle often helps to do that. I have a relationship to car culture. It isn't really about loving cars. It's sort of about needing them.

At the end of the day there's only a few major stars in the music business and then there's all these people that are aspiring to be that.

Independent film is almost nonexistent right now because all the distributers that used to love to put out these little art films are all out of business right now because it costs so much to open a movie.

I'm afraid for all those who'll have the bread snatched from their mouths by these machines. What business has science and capitalism got bringing all these new inventions into the works before society has produced a generation educated up to using them!

Sometimes I think our problems are made worse by the kind of business we're in. Playing these road shows is a weird experience.
