Congratulations you have a sense of humor. And to those who didn't: Go stick your head in the mud.

It's continuously humbling to work hard you know? As long as you've got a good work ethic and a sense of humor I don't think anybody can become too much of an egoist under those circumstances.

A sense of humor keen enough to show a man his own absurdities will keep him from the commission of all sins or nearly all save those worth committing.

Humor has been the balm of my life but it's been reserved for those close to me not part of the public Lana.

It is my fervent hope and prayer that by exposing my mistakes and by pointing out the things that were a part of my early life some who might be following the same paths might not make those same mistakes.

So you know I think that the federal government the Democrats and President Obama are selling a lot of hope and change but no delivery of any of those promises.

When they see those fourteen lights they're looking at a miracle. And deep down they feel that whatever's going to happen there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope.

Before I do a play I say that I hope it's going to be for as short a time as possible but once you do it it is a paradoxical pleasure. One evening out of two there are five minutes of a miracle and for those five minutes you want to do it again and again. It's like a drug.

We are all here to be a service to those who can't be a service to themselves. We can give people hope and more reasons for being human.

'Little Miss Sunshine' snowballed. It was a tiny movie. We shot it in 30 days and it was really fun to do but it was one of those small movies that you don't hold out huge hope for.
