When the principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win the day then the battle is your calling and peace has become sin. You must at the price of dearest peace lay your convictions bare before friend and enemy with all the fire of your faith.

Earmarks have become a symbol of a Congress that has broken faith with the people. This earmark ban shows the American people we are listening and we are dead serious about ending business as usual in Washington.

The Christian faith can never be separated from the soil of sacred events from the choice made by God who wanted to speak to us to become man to die and rise again in a particular place and at a particular time.

Amidst the confusion of the times the conflicts of conscience and the turmoil of daily living an abiding faith becomes an anchor to our lives.

Faith... must be enforced by reason... when faith becomes blind it dies.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean if a few drops of the ocean are dirty the ocean does not become dirty.
