When anyone has the power to destroy the whole human race in a matter of hours it becomes a moral issue. The church must speak out.
To protect people's lives and keep our children safe we must implement public-works spending and do so proudly. If possible I'd like to see the Bank of Japan purchase all of the construction bonds that we need to issue to cover the cost. That would also forcefully circulate money in the market. That would be positive for the economy too.
From what we've heard about George W. he has a lot issues that he wants to run on. They're positive. They're good. He thinks he's got a good vision for America.
George W. Bush brought a lot of minorities into his administration which was a positive thing and they had some issues that they wanted to press but 9/11 really gave them direction. It gave them a purpose.
Moreover behind this vague tendency to treat religion as a side issue in modern life there exists a strong body of opinion that is actively hostile to Christianity and that regards the destruction of positive religion as absolutely necessary to the advance of modern culture.
I'm out there arguing the Labor case. I will do it anywhere and everywhere that I can. I do it within various communities across Australia where I am able to make a positive contribution. And let me tell you my voice won't be silenced in the public debate because the issue at stake for Australia are so stark.
But you cannot expect every writer to dwell on human suffering. I think my books do deal with grave issues. People who say they are too positive probably haven't read them.
I think we all suffer from guilt at some point in our lives but for the most part I never really regret and I try to always remain positive. Yes I think that those issues are very interesting to play in a character and they're prominent issues in life and I think people can relate to them.
Money in politics is a huge issue.
What matters most in politics is personality. It's not issues it's not image. It's who you are and what you represent.
