If you don't change then what's the point of anything happening to you?
From 1997 when we came in you guys and the public bought seven million more cars. You didn't get rid of the second car did you? So what is happening is the growth of cars on the motorway.
Can you design a Rorschach test that's going to make everyone feel something every time - and that looks like a Rorschach test? It's easy to show a picture of a kitten or a car accident. The question is how abstract can you get and still get the audience to feel something when they don't know what's happening to them?
I'm glad about what's happening to the music business. This last crop of people we had in the 90s who are going away now they didn't like music. They didn't trust musicians. They wanted something else from it.
The business side of film has goofed up so many things but even that's changing. It happened to the music industry and now it's happening to the film studios. It's crazy what's going on. What matters to me is that I do what I think is right and I see I'm a numbers guy that's my attitude. I know we have a debt tsunami coming we are bankrupting this country and I'm in a position where I can actually advance ideas to prevent that from happening. That's exactly what I should be doing.

If the Frieze Art Fair catches on I imagine at least two great things happening. First we will once again have a huge art fair in town that isn't too annoying to go to. More importantly Frieze may finally show New Yorkers that we can cross our own waters for visual culture. That would change everything.
'Untitled' is a time machine that can transport you to 1992 an edgy moment when the art world was crumbling money was scarce and artists like Tiravanija were in the nascent stages of combining Happenings performance art John Cage Joseph Beuys and the do-it-yourself ethos of punk. Meanwhile a new art world was coming into being.
Every happening great and small is a parable whereby God speaks to us and the art of life is to get the message.
