If you like small government you need to work hard at having a strong national defense that is not so militant. Personal liberty is the purpose of government to protect liberty - not to run your personal life not to run the economy and not to pretend that we can tell the world how they ought to live.

The hardest people to reach with the love of God are not the bad people. They know they are bad. They have no defense. The hardest ones to win for God are the self-righteous people.

Advances in technology will continue to reach far into every sector of our economy. Future job and economic growth in industry defense transportation agriculture health care and life sciences is directly related to scientific advancement.

You know you don't retreat in the defense of freedom. You don't retreat in the defense of moral government and limited government. You don't retreat because people are going to defend bad things.

Rock and roll music - the music of freedom frightens people and unleashes all manner of conservative defense mechanisms.

So the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is out there preserving and fighting for and sometimes winning and sometimes losing the fight for First Amendment rights in comics and more generally for freedom of speech.

Power in defense of freedom is greater than power in behalf of tyranny and oppression.

Make no mistake in this campaign I will offer the American ideals of economic freedom a clear and unapologetic defense.

We the People recognize that we have responsibilities as well as rights that our destinies are bound together that a freedom which only asks what's in it for me a freedom without a commitment to others a freedom without love or charity or duty or patriotism is unworthy of our founding ideals and those who died in their defense.

The left sees nothing but bigotry and superstition in the popular defense of the family or in popular attitudes regarding abortion crime busing and the school curriculum.
