But if you say that we should not educate children who have come into our state for no other reason than they've been brought there by no fault of their own I don't think you have a heart. We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society.

Having soon discovered to be great I must appear so and therefore studiously avoided mixing in society and wrapped myself in mystery devoting my time to fasting and prayer.

I have to admit that when I watch a movie in which there is no moral context for the violence - I find that offensive. I think that's potentially damaging to society.

There are many things that people do happily that I can't imagine why they would do it... But I have to say that even though I am critical or judgmental of society at large I'm not critical of people individually. We are who we are.

But on the other hand I get bored with racism too and recognize that there are still many things to be said about a Black person and a White person loving each other in a racist society.

Society can exist only on the basis that there is some amount of polished lying and that no one says exactly what he thinks.

There is no higher value in our society than integrity.

There is nothing more fearful for the average person in our society than to stand before a group of people and speak.
