Before I pitch any game from spring training to Game 7 of the World Series I'm scared to death.

Should I perchance still feel after my death I would no longer have any doubt but I would most certainly give the lie to anyone asserting before me that I was dead.

But the issue is not only life and death but our existence before God and our being judged by him. All of us were sinners before him and worthy of condemnation.

Death is the easiest of all things after it and the hardest of all things before it.

See I have set before you this day life and good death and evil... I have set before you life and death blessing and curse therefore choose life.

As long as you don't make waves ripples life seems easy. But that's condemning yourself to impotence and death before you are dead.

Man as long as he lives is immortal. One minute before his death he shall be immortal. But one minute later God wins.

Prepare for death if here at night you roam and sign your will before you sup from home.

After your death you will be what you were before your birth.

We get into the habit of living before acquiring the habit of thinking. In that race which daily hastens us towards death the body maintains its irreparable lead.
