For me my business is my business and my house is my house. I don't want the public in my house.

It is not fit the public trusts should be lodged in the hands of any till they are first proved and found fit for the business they are to be entrusted with.

I also believe that government has no business telling us how we should live our lives. I think our lifestyle choices should be left up to us. What we do in our private lives is none of the government's business. That position rules out the Republican Party for me.

In the US there is basically one party - the business party. It has two factions called Democrats and Republicans which are somewhat different but carry out variations on the same policies. By and large I am opposed to those policies. As is most of the population.

If people in the media cannot decide whether they are in the business of reporting news or manufacturing propaganda it is all the more important that the public understand that difference and choose their news sources accordingly.

The first mistake in public business is the going into it.

I believe we need to attract a new generation of the best and brightest to public service and I believe that government can be a source of inspiration not degradation.

The government's view is that the best time to announce bad news news that it doesn't want the public to dwell on is late on a Friday when it will wind up in the Saturday papers which if you were readers then the week day editions. A holiday weekend is even better.

Every piece of entertainment is made with the idea that 'This is going to be terrific' and 'This is the best thing I've ever done' and then it hits the public and then the public tells you whether it's good or bad.

And I believe that the best buy in public health today must be a combination of regular physical exercise and a healthy diet.
