Our religion is itself profoundly sad - a religion of universal anguish and one which because of its very catholicity grants full liberty to the individual and asks no better than to be celebrated in each man's own language - so long as he knows anguish and is a painter.

All human language draws its nature and value from the fact that it both comes from the Word of God and is chosen by God to manifest himself. But this relationship is secret and incomprehensible beyond the bounds of reason and analysis.

There was a whole language that I could never make function for myself in relationship to painting and that was attitudes like tortured struggle pain.

Every relationship has its own language. It takes a long time to evolve and read one another. Just as it's true for people it's also true on a national or cultural level.

We should never denigrate any other culture but rather help people to understand the relationship between their own culture and the dominant culture. When you understand another culture or language it does not mean that you have to lose your own culture.

Language is legislation speech is its code. We do not see the power which is in speech because we forget that all speech is a classification and that all classifications are oppressive.

I've been looking at companies that are on a positive path vs. a negative path and I've come to use the language of sports winning streaks and losing streaks.

And I have to work so hard at talking positively to myself. If I don't it's just real hard to get through the day and I'll get really down and just want to cry. My whole body language changes. I get more slumped over.

I've done reasonably well over the last 10 years because I took the strategy of language and politics and applied it to the corporate world which has never been done before.

Finality is not the language of politics.
