Without a trace of irony I can say I have been blessed with brilliant enemies. I owe them a great debt because they redoubled my energies and drove me in new directions.

The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving.

Now in New Jersey we have more government workers per square mile than any state in America. But since I've been governor we now have fewer people on the state payroll at any time since Christie Whitman left office in January 2001. That's the right direction Mr. President not the wrong direction.

The next few months are critical to Pakistan's future direction as a democratic state committed to promoting peace fighting terrorism and working for social justice.

While day by day the overzealous student stores up facts for future use he who has learned to trust nature finds need for ever fewer external directions. He will discard formula after formula until he reaches the conclusion: Let nature take its course.
