I'm not squeamish at all. As a child I dragged a dead squirrel home on my skateboard and cut it open and tried to look at its brain.

If I go into a sandwich shop or anywhere that features 'Today's specials' on a chalkboard more than 10 feet away I have to ask for a printed menu. I smile at people I don't know on the street and ignore those I do. When at home I often find myself grabbing my 'back-up' glasses to search for the better-loved pair I have left on top of my dresser.

Snowboarding's tough because you've got to go to the mountains. For me I love the skateboard season because I get to hangout at home and still be skating. I don't have to travel to Norway or Japan or these crazy places to be snowboarding.

I feel like I'm part of history being made. I leave Apple board meetings thinking 'I've got to do a better job.'

Among the weeds choking out growth and good government are the hundreds of boards commissions and advisory committees that have sprouted over the years. They devour time money and energy far beyond any real contribution they make.

There is nothing anyone can do anyway. The public has no power. The government knows I'm not a criminal. The parole board knows I'm not a criminal. The judge knows I'm not a criminal.

And God said 'Let there be light' and there was light but the Electricity Board said He would have to wait until Thursday to be connected.

It is impossible to imagine the universe run by a wise just and omnipotent God but it is quite easy to imagine it run by a board of gods.

God made the Idiot for practice and then He made the School Board.

Also it is interesting that developing countries with China and India perhaps in the lead where the future of the global environment will be decided are now on board with the case for sustainable development.
