The duty of government is to leave commerce to its own capital and credit as well as all other branches of business protecting all in their legal pursuits granting exclusive privileges to none.

You must accept that you might fail then if you do your best and still don't win at least you can be satisfied that you've tried. If you don't accept failure as a possibility you don't set high goals you don't branch out you don't try - you don't take the risk.

If you look closely at a tree you'll notice it's knots and dead branches just like our bodies. What we learn is that beauty and imperfection go together wonderfully.

When I am finishing a picture I hold some God-made object up to it - a rock a flower the branch of a tree or my hand - as a final test. If the painting stands up beside a thing man cannot make the painting is authentic. If there's a clash between the two it's bad art.
