Like success failure is many things to many people. With Positive Mental Attitude failure is a learning experience a rung on the ladder a plateau at which to get your thoughts in order and prepare to try again.

What has happened to architecture since the second world war that the only passers-by who can contemplate it without pain are those equipped with a white stick and a dog?

I'm always improving and I want to get better and never hit a plateau. I find it an amazing adventure.

For 'Around the World in 80 Plates' we got to travel all over having what was like a cross between a culinary competition and races. And in each country we had a chef Ambassador. We went to London Barcelona Bologna Hong Kong Thailand Morocco... It was amazing.

There's a sense of aliveness that comes from connection shared experience. And you see it in every place. You see it when ball players jump up and down gather at home plate hugging and it's not just because they're winning it's that shared moment that feeling of - we enter the world alone we leave alone.

Fear is that thing that keeps you up there on that other plateau. Fear is that thing that just keeps you closed down and quite frankly alone.

We can only know one thing about God - that he is what we are not. Our wretchedness alone is an image of this. The more we contemplate it the more we contemplate him.
