I offer neither pay nor quarters nor food I offer only hunger thirst forced marches battles and death. Let him who loves his country with his heart and not merely with his lips follow me.

That is the great mistake about the affections. It is not the rise and fall of empires the birth and death of kings or the marching of armies that move them most. When they answer from their depths it is to the domestic joys and tragedies of life.

What I've always said is that I'm opposed to institutional racism and I would've had I've been alive at the time I think had the courage to march with Martin Luther King to overturn institutional racism and I see no place in our society for institutional racism.

Beatbullying's 'The Big March 2012' is such a brilliant campaign and I am very proud to be a part of it. I have been a victim of cyber bullying myself and I know firsthand just how hurtful it can be. People think that they can hide behind computers and send nasty and hurtful comments to people and this is wrong.

Gradually I became aware of details: a company of French soldiers was marching through the streets of the town. They broke formation and went in single file along the communication trench leading to the front line. Another group followed them.

Yet what you need is not marches demonstrations rallies or wide associations all of them are important. What you need is direct action. The sooner people understand that the sooner we'll begin to change things.

In too many instances the march to globalization has also meant the marginalization of women and girls. And that must change.

Anybody who really knows about the TV business knows that it would be impossible to just march in one day and say to your colleagues and bosses 'Oh yes I'm hosting my own show.'

Luck marches with those who give their very best.
