Some of the best times I've spent in Colorado have been in the backcountry with my mom and siblings and more recently with my own kids. That is why I'm concerned to see today's kids spending more time browsing the Internet than exploring nature.

I don't spend a lot of time online. My mother's really good at picking out if she sees a really great review and she'll forward it to me. She's like my little Internet filter. It's always nice to see something going up if I want to find something on Nathan Fillion I do know where to look but I've got a nice little delivery system in my mom.

In a wristwatch imagine the battery is in the strap and there's a medical sensor in there connected to the internet. If someone is monitoring that they could phone up if the user has forgotten to take some medication. This could save hundreds of dollars in medical fees later. What's missing? It's a stable battery.

A free and open Internet should not have to be weighed down by legal challenges - its dynamism is essential to our economy.

You go on these Internet blogs and people say the meanest things. I'm a normal person. Just because I'm in the spotlight doesn't mean I'm God's gift to the world. I'm learning and making mistakes just like every other 17-year-old girl out there.

Hollywood and the recording industry argue that current law permits the copying of songs and movies and sharing them on the Internet. This enables young people to grow up learning how to steal.

We need to be a leadership position about protecting minors on the Internet and more importantly giving the parents the tools they need to protect them.

I'm not up on the Internet but I hear that is a democratic possibility. People can connect with each other. I think people are ready for something but there is no leadership to offer it to them. People are ready to say 'Yes we are part of a world.'

To break boundaries interests me. With all the knowledge that is available now in the world it should be accessible to everyone. You can get so much information on the Internet now and yet there are so many places in the world where people just don't have the education.

I agree completely with my son James when he says 'Internet is like electricity. The latter lights up everything while the former lights up knowledge'.
