I never saw heard nor read that the clergy were beloved in any nation where Christianity was the religion of the country. Nothing can render them popular but some degree of persecution.

The Christian religion not only was at first attended with miracles but even at this day cannot be believed by any reasonable person without one.

But even in the Christian religion much of its real meaning is hidden by words that are misleading and symbols that but few understand.

People in general are equally horrified at hearing the Christian religion doubted and at seeing it practiced.

As with the Christian religion the worst advertisement for Socialism is its adherents.

If any of you should ask me for an epitome of the Christian religion I should say that it is in one word - prayer. Live and die without prayer and you will pray long enough when you get to hell.

I say quite deliberately that the Christian religion as organized in its Churches has been and still is the principal enemy of moral progress in the world.

In Christianity neither morality nor religion come into contact with reality at any point.

This is God's world not Satan's. Christians are the lawful heirs not non-Christians.
