The awakening of the people of China to the possibilities under free government is the most significant if not the most momentous event of our generation.

Start living now. Stop saving the good china for that special occasion. Stop withholding your love until that special person materializes. Every day you are alive is a special occasion. Every minute every breath is a gift from God.

Every President that went to China I would meet them and have dinner and talk about the past and the future. That was in the '70s.

Also it is interesting that developing countries with China and India perhaps in the lead where the future of the global environment will be decided are now on board with the case for sustainable development.

If GE's strategy of investment in China is wrong it represents a loss of a billion dollars perhaps a couple of billion dollars. If it is right it is the future of this company for the next century.

I'm just a citizen: my life is equal in value to any other. But I'm thankful that when I lost my freedom so many people shared feelings and put such touching effort into helping me.

China has to go along with world trends. That's democracy liberty individual freedom. China sooner or later has to go that way. It cannot go backward.
