I don't know if this is the kind of retrospective analysis that people are fond of applying to their work or actions but it feels like I knew I was going to be famous and I knew that an element of that would be traumatic so that if I could make myself something big and otherworldly it would be a kind of defence.

Questioning the nature and implications of liminal instances necessarily involves failure if only in the specifically technical sense of entering spaces where prevailing criteria of success scarcely apply.

With everything that is complex we learn. If you don't learn then it's an utter and abject failure. If you do learn and you're able to apply that to the next situation then you take away a measure of success.

It is easier to learn to interpret dreams if you have a reason to use them for something constructive. You apply your dream insights to making constructive changes in your life.
