I don't generally do movies that get good reviews.
There are a lot of movies I've done that come and go and don't really establish a growing fan base.
I'm not sure anybody's ready to see me in a drama. And loving movies so much I've seen a lot of comics try to make that transition too fast and it can be detrimental. And I don't think I've had as much success as I need in the comedy genre to open up those opportunities.
I find that when you see somebody in the tabloids all the time you have no desire to see them in movies.
Well it was actually - I brought the idea of doing a documentary to HBO back in 2000 when there were some press reports sort of were bandied about that there were going to TV movies based on some of the books that were out.
The movies people don't talk about or remember after six months' time don't really matter.
And you also have to do movies that are about commerce because that's what is required of the industry today.
If you really want to be competitive in today's market you have to be in movies that make money.
You have to get the audience invested even if you're doing something that they think is dumb it's kind of what these movies are all about.
I don't think we're living in great times for movies to tell you the truth.
