You know this is a war of ideology a war of thoughts and of faith. And we need people to really stand for faith and trust not hope and change.

I realized that my truest passion was for helping people change through faith in a higher power. That meant for me belonging to the church. Using my abilities to bring Christian doctrine to a postmodern world.

When did we begin to lose faith in our ability to effect change?

I don't know what religious people do. I kind of wished I'd been a Christian with the blind faith that God is doing the right thing. As a Buddhist you feel like you have more control over the situation and that you can change your karma.

Skepticism has never founded empires established principals or changed the world's heart. The great doers in history have always been people of faith.

People who believe they have the power to exercise some measure of control over their lives are healthier more effective and more successful than those who lack faith in their ability to effect changes in their lives.

The vast majority of large scale change efforts fail. Which means that the probability that you have actually experienced a failure and your people know that and are pessimistic therefore about trying something again is very high.

What matters is this: Being fearless of failure arms you to break the rules. In doing so you may change the culture and just possibly for a moment change life itself.

Divorce is so common and accepted in America that beating myself up over it may sound ridiculous. But I was raised to believe that divorce wasn't an option to me divorce equaled failure. I wasn't able to change that equation until I found myself in the right relationship.

You know my life's changed now. I'm starting to experience what people are really supposed to do. You supposed to be married. You're supposed to have a family kids treat your wife right.
