I am a military police officer and I have served on two deployments my first was to Iraq in a medical unit and my second deployment was to Kuwait as a military police platoon leader.

I decided to start a medical training program for freelancers only freelancers. They're the ones who are doing most of the combat reporting. They're taking most of the risks. They're absorbing most of the casualties. And they're the most underserved and under-resourced of everyone in the entire news business.

A band is not a marriage. There are no oaths of allegiance. If you feel your life will be better served by splitting up the group you've got to do it - but of course it does cause problems.

I feel very deeply about the need to respect and tolerate people of different social - or sexual orientation. But at the same time I believe marriage should be preserved as an institution for one man and one woman.

Mother's love is peace. It need not be acquired it need not be deserved.

I feel like there was justice. It was served through the legal system you know. Everything that I endured. It was all worth it.

Insofar as international law is observed it provides us with stability and order and with a means of predicting the behavior of those with whom we have reciprocal legal obligations.

Our country was thereby saved from the consequences of its distracting individualistic conception of democracy and its merely legal conception of nationality. It was because the followers of Jackson and Douglas did fight for it that the Union was preserved.

In such an environment I was able to study things that could be of immediate usefulness to the world. That learning experience undoubtedly served me well when I eventually entered the work force.

I know of no single formula for success. But over the years I have observed that some attributes of leadership are universal and are often about finding ways of encouraging people to combine their efforts their talents their insights their enthusiasm and their inspiration to work together.
