My goal when I started out was to get to the point where I could tour a lot and make a living which means getting paid enough to hire my own band travel and end up with a bit of money but I'm still nowhere near that point. Because I didn't have a band and fan base when I started I did everything backward.

I mean the first 'Back to the Future' is kind of a perfect script I think in terms of handling time travel the best. It depends on your definition. To me that means it effectively uses it in the story.

Dealing with global warming doesn't mean we have all got to suddenly stop breathing. Dealing with global warming means that we have to stop waste and if you travel for no reason whatsoever that is a waste.

If a movie isn't a hit right out of the gate they drop it. Which means that the whole mainstream Hollywood product has been skewed toward violence and vulgar teen comedy.

A world technology means either a world government or world suicide.

What we're doing is making sure that we have a safe and secure border region from San Diego all the way to Brownsville. And that means manpower it means technology it means infrastructure it means interior enforcement. All you know kind of layered in appropriate ways and making sure like I said before the border is safe and secure.

But my view is that you need a system at the border. You need some fencing but you need technology. You need boots on the ground. And then you need to have interior enforcement of our nation's immigration laws inside the country. And that means dealing with the employers who still consistently hire illegal labor.

Technology causes problems as well as solves problems. Nobody has figured out a way to ensure that as of tomorrow technology won't create problems. Technology simply means increased power which is why we have the global problems we face today.

Technological progress has merely provided us with more efficient means for going backwards.

My job requires me to put on a little dress and run around the streets of New York in heels. But I also had the financial means to hire a yoga teacher to come to my house while my sitter watched the newborn. For 95 percent of the world that's not realistic.
