I spend so much time on the screen when I am writing the last thing you want to do is spend more time on the Internet looking at a screen. That's what I hate about all this technology.

I was one of the first authors to have an active website. I'm totally obsessed with technology. I'm always looking for ways to connect with my readers. I answer all my fan mail.

For the last 10 years I've felt increasing pressure to stop shooting film and start shooting video but I've never understood why. It's cheaper to work on film it's far better looking it's the technology that's been known and understood for a hundred years and it's extremely reliable.

Running gave me a focus to start looking after myself to eat properly and focus on building up my strength.
