Let my life as Poet begin. I want the life of the Poet. I have labored for over twelve years one thousand pages of prose. Now I want the easiness of poetry. The brevity of the poem.

Through the years I have received my share of recognition for efforts in the fields of sports the arts the struggle for full citizenship for the Negro people labor's rights and the fight for peace.

Modern society based as it is on the division of labor can be preserved only under conditions of lasting peace.

I know that if the peace movement takes its message boldly to the Negro people a powerful force can be secured in pursuit of the greatest goal of all mankind. And the same is true of labor and the great democratic sections of our population.

When you know people are really at peace with who they are and what they do they collaborate and want to help you to improve.

Peace demands the most heroic labor and the most difficult sacrifice. It demands greater heroism than war. It demands greater fidelity to the truth and a much more perfect purity of conscience.

Ah the power of two. There's nothing quite like it. Especially when it comes to paying utility bills parenting cooking elaborate meals purchasing a grown-up bed jumping rope and lifting heavy machinery. The world favours pairs. Who wants to waste the wood building an ark for singletons?

I want to have children but my friends scare me. One of my friends told me she was in labor for 36 hours. I don't even want to do anything that feels good for 36 hours.

Quantum computation is... a distinctively new way of harnessing nature... It will be the first technology that allows useful tasks to be performed in collaboration between parallel universes.

I think it is in collaboration that the nature of art is revealed.
