When I was very very young seven years old I heard there was school where you could go to learn to draw. That was my absolute driven passion to become an artist or a painter. So the romantic realist in me I studied to be a graphic design artist and an art teacher.

So I'm always around video games but I've always been interested in them from a visual perspective with the graphic design and that whole thing. I don't know if that comes from my love of photography or what but that's always what's held my interest about them.

Graphic design is the paradise of individuality eccentricity heresy abnormality hobbies and humors.

'Nil By Mouth' was a bit autobiographical but as I always pointed out at the time that's not my dad.

I influenced the BG style by not being able to draw perspective. The BG artists developed cool graphic painting styles to make my bad backgrounds look like they were that way on purpose.

These sites have torn down the geographical divide that once prevented long distance social relationships from forming allowing instant communication and connections to take place and a virtual second life to take hold for its users.

If you say 'I'm going to cut this song because I know the teenagers are going to love it ' well then you're going to alienate everybody else. When I cut my record I'm just going to cut the things that I like and whoever likes it likes it. That's too much work to try to figure out the demographic. That's too much like a business.

There is something sinister something quite biographical about what I do - but that part is for me. It's my personal business. I think there is a lot of romance melancholy. There's a sadness to it but there's romance in sadness. I suppose I am a very melancholy person.

I got my diploma from Ealing College of Art in graphics and illustration.
