Do you suppose there is any living man so unreasonable that if he found himself stricken with a dangerous ailment he would not anxiously desire to regain the blessing of health?

As the blessings of health and fortune have a beginning so they must also find an end. Everything rises but to fall and increases but to decay.

A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings and learn how by his own thought to derive benefit from his illnesses.

A cloudy day or a little sunshine have as great an influence on many constitutions as the most recent blessings or misfortunes.

I praise the Lord here today. I know that all my talent and all my ability comes from him and without him I'm nothing and I thank him for his great blessing.
