After 'Freaks and Geeks ' I dealt with several producers who wanted to cover up all my beauty marks every single mole on my body. They tried to cover them on my first two episodes of 'Dawson's Creek ' and it just looked ridiculous so I had to put my foot down. But it's not something I'm insecure about.

Music as many people have said is the universal language. Of course points are made which make you think about things but ultimately it makes you feel. And that's why people remember more songs that have meant something during their life than films. They start to define periods in your life and that's kind of the beauty of it.

I mean the beauty of being a writer is it's not like being a swimmer. When they were talking about our Olympic swimmers and they'd say 'Oh she's so old ' and she's all of 25 or something. So the beauty for a writer is that you can keep doing it right into your dotage and I hope to be able to keep doing it as long as I can get away with it yeah.

Asian people have a unique way about them and a different sense of beauty. It's exotic to me. I like they way Asians project their feelings. There's a hardness to the culture but at the same time there's a delicateness.

Once you go inside and weed through the muck you will find the real beauty the truth about yourself.
