When I got my PhD it was a time when there were just no jobs for PhDs. Period. PhDs were getting the lowest paid technician jobs if they were lucky in any kind of science.

I hesitate to predict whether this theory is true. But if the general opinion of Mankind is optimistic then we're in for a period of extreme popularity for science fiction.

I have been to several wars to draw. I went to Vietnam. And made drawings in Vietnam during that period of the war there and found that to be a very very sad situation.

I want to do all kinds of things. I want to do some comedy. I'd love to do a romantic comedy and I'd love to do some period pieces with classical text. I'd love somebody to cast me as Macbeth but for a film. I just want to be all over the place.

I've always been sort of addicted to genre-jumping. I've never been in the mood to do the same thing I did last time. Hence me going from 'Big Love' to romantic comedy to period film... I can't sit still.

I would have loved to do 'Alice in Wonderland.' Being a 'Bond' girl would always be fun. We had a lot of action in 'Eclipse' and I'd definitely like to continue down the action road. I think any period in history can be adapted into interesting fiction as long as you approach the actual history with respect.

All religions have periods in their history which are looked back to with retrospective fear and trembling as eras of persecution and each religion has its own book of martyrs.
