I didn't miss training because it had become so painful for me. I filled the void pretty quickly as I went straight into coaching and it was great I had to start learning all over again and then when I went into TV I knew nothing about it so I had to start from the very beginning.

There is only one thing more painful than learning from experience and that is not learning from experience.

I thought I was learning about show business. The more painful it was the more important I thought the experience must be. Hating it I convinced myself it must be invaluable.

Painful as it may be a significant emotional event can be the catalyst for choosing a direction that serves us - and those around us - more effectively. Look for the learning.

Through humor you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter no matter how painful your situation might be you can survive it.

You can turn painful situations around through laughter. If you can find humor in anything even poverty you can survive it.

So we just hope that all of these governors who are grappling will be able to provide the basic services to our citizens and not have to cut things that really are painful.

But what we call our despair is often only the painful eagerness of unfed hope.
