I'm an independent. I'm a centrist. A new generation is arriving that has grown up with a multiplicity of choice in every aspect of their lives and yet politics is the last place that they are told that they should be satisfied with a choice between brand A and brand B. It doesn't fit the way they think. It doesn't fit the way they live.
Ah the power of two. There's nothing quite like it. Especially when it comes to paying utility bills parenting cooking elaborate meals purchasing a grown-up bed jumping rope and lifting heavy machinery. The world favours pairs. Who wants to waste the wood building an ark for singletons?
Children are educated by what the grown-up is and not by his talk.
I'm just lucky because my kids are grown-up - I love them very proud of them and we are in close contact as big-time friends but they don't need me that much now and I can actually enjoy this wonderful world of music.
The earth has grown old with its burden of care but at Christmas it always is young the heart of the jewel burns lustrous and fair and its soul full of music breaks the air when the song of angels is sung.
I do like strong women in my movies. I have five sisters so I've just grown up with that model.
I've always been an animal lover. I've grown up with dogs my whole life. I think that is what helped me get the role on 'Lassie' I was comfortable around the dog where many of the kids were afraid or intimidated by Lassie.
I didn't wake up one morning and not be in the Replacements. We're all that forever and I've just grown older. I mean I haven't lost anything. I've gained a few things.
People look at me and they go 'You're white you're smart you must have went to college. You must have grown up with money.'
My parents and grandparents have always been engaged in teaching or the medical profession or the priesthood so I've sort of grown up with a sense of complicity in the lives of other people so there's no virtue in that it's the way one is raised.
