Discouragement is not the absence of adequacy but the absence of courage.

Never be discouraged. If I were sunk in the lowest pits of Nova Scotia with the Rocky Mountains piled on me I would hang on exercise faith and keep up good courage and I would come out on top.

Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker the lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.

Remember always give your best. Never get discouraged. Never be petty. Always remember others may hate you. But those who hate you don't win unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.

You may keep your beauty and your health unless you destroy them yourself or discourage them to stay with you by using them ill.

It's hard for women at my age in Hollywood but I'm not discouraged.
