Design can never be an ultimate explanation for anything. It can only be a proximate explanation. A plane or a car is explained by a designer but that's because the designer himself the engineer is explained by natural selection.

In my business if I get too close to you and you die it hurts me. And so you develop a natural inclination not to be close to the patient so that if things don't work out ideally you can still get up the next day and care for the next patient.

I think naturally if you're an actor there's a high level of assertiveness that you need to have to survive this business. There's boldness in being assertive and there's strength and confidence.
