It's wonderful to be here in the great state of Chicago.

What is wonderful about great literature is that it transforms the man who reads it towards the condition of the man who wrote.

Police and firefighters are great but they don't create wealth. They protect it. That's crucial. Teaching is a wonderful profession. Teachers help educate people to become good citizens so that citizens can then go create wealth. But they don't create the wealth themselves.

There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence imagination and wonder.

Well you know I - again even in the context of BP I wonder about this government's priorities. The federal government's top priority right now should be the cleanup. And BP certainly has done so many things wrong. They need to be held to account.

Being in a rock band is about touring. It's about writing songs and it's about making records but it's also about taking a wonderful smile onto that stage and making the people feel good about themselves.

Why not invest your assets in the companies you really like? As Mae West said 'Too much of a good thing can be wonderful'.

It's really a wonder that I haven't dropped all my ideals because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out. Yet I keep them because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.
