We had every problems starting a big top could have. The tent fell down on the first day. We had problems getting people into the shows. It was only with the courage and arrogance of youth that we survived.

And we have a little herb garden which survived the winter thanks to global warming. It makes me feel like a cool old Italian housewife that I kept my rosemary alive outside all winter.

My health is wonderful. I work out. I'm working. Playing music. I have a beautiful wife a nice home a nice car I got money in the bank. I got three beautiful dogs that love me. Like I said I'm blessed. I survived.

You can't be as old as I am without waking up with a surprised look on your face every morning: 'Holy Christ whaddya know - I'm still around!' It's absolutely amazing that I survived all the booze and smoking and the cars and the career.

If there was an observer on Mars they would probably be amazed that we have survived this long.
