Politics aside it will be hard for any new liberal radio network to outdo the professionalism of NPR.

The next thing I am doing is moving back home to Minnesota and getting involved in politics. I'm looking at a run for Senate in 2008 but in the meantime I am focused on knitting together the progressive network in the upper Midwest.

A show that no one thought had a chance has just finished its fifth year: Charmed. I think it's tougher for the younger networks so I think they have a little more patience for the sake of the show. But who knows?

All three networks have always had a morning show but now cable of course is taking some of that audience away and a variety of other things probably the Internet as well.

Everybody gets everything handed to them. The rich inherit it. I don't mean just inheritance of money. I mean what people take for granted among the middle and upper classes which is nepotism the old-boy network.

They seem to have forgotten that and are back saying the only purpose of P2P networks is for illegal trading of owned goods. We claim part of the reason for P2P is for legal trading of what ought to be in public domain. And what is in public domain in many cases.

It is literally the case that learning languages makes you smarter. The neural networks in the brain strengthen as a result of language learning.

During the days of segregation there was not a place of higher learning for African Americans. They were simply not welcome in many of the traditional schools. And from this backward policy grew the network of historical black colleges and universities.

In a country with an overabundance of food no one should go hungry because of a lack of funds or technical and professional knowledge. We have the food and we have the networks we now need to support the providers.

The Queen's intelligence network is a hell of a lot better than anyone's in this palace. Bar none. She knows everything. I don't know how she does it. And she sees everything.
