Animation is not the art of drawings that move but the art of movements that are drawn.

While a large segment of the art world has obsessed over a tiny number of stars and their prices an aesthetic shift has been occurring. It's not a movement - movements are more sure of themselves. It's a change of mood or expectation a desire for art to be more than showy effects big numbers and gamesmanship.

The trend in some of the contemporary movements in art but by no means all seems to deny this ideal and to me appears to lead to a purely decorative conception of painting.

And then we watched an amazing number of movies from the late '60s and '70s which is my favorite time and we studied their camera movements their stocks the way they lit stuff the colors they used.

Glasgow's not a media center. When you're there when you're hanging about you feel quite detached from musical movements or fashions or anything like that. You do feel quite alone in a good way.

This communication alone by the comparison of the antagonisms rivalries movements which give birth to decisive moments permits the evolution of the soul whereby a man realizes himself on earth. It is impossible to be concerned with anything else in art.
