Enough people have now mentioned Bill Nye the Science Guy to me that I now desperately avoid it all costs.

I mean I was just one of the ones who got exposed and because of the position I was in where I was in my life it went mainstream. A lot of people got out of it after my situation not because I went to prison but because it was sad for them to see me go through something that was so pointless that could have been avoided.

Truthfully I almost avoided 'While You Were Sleeping ' because I find those romantic comedies kind of precious and they're full of lines that leave you feeling a little bewildered when you say them.

When I was younger many of my romantic escapades were just a means of simply avoiding being by myself. I was afraid of feeling lonely afraid I wouldn't know what to say to myself.

As a kid I quite fancied the romantic Bohemian idea of being an artist. I expect I thought I could escape from the difficulties of maths and spelling. Maybe I thought I would avoid the judgement of the establishment.

As far as the lack of hits goes I think perhaps it's because I've played a lot of different roles and have not created a persona that the public can latch on to. I have played everything from psychopathic killers to romantic leading men and in picking such diverse roles I have avoided typecasting.

It goes without saying that the desire to accomplish the task with more confidence to avoid wasting time and labour and to spare our experimental animals as much as possible made us strictly observe all the precautions taken by surgeons in respect to their patients.

I don't have any respect at all for the scum-bags who went to Canada to avoid the draft or to avoid doing their fair share.

One should respect public opinion insofar as is necessary to avoid starvation and keep out of prison but anything that goes beyond this is voluntary submission to an unnecessary tyranny.

So basically my view is I don't want to support the exploitation of animals and within reason I will do what I can to avoid it but it's not like it's a religion for me. It's not like I consider I'm polluted if somehow some bit of milk or cheese or something passes my lips.
