I like messing around and I like working with artists who I respect.

All men are somewhat ridiculous and grotesque just because they are men and in this respect artists might well be regarded as man multiplied by two. So it is was and shall be.

Too many younger artists critics and curators are fetishizing the sixties transforming the period into a deformed cult a fantasy religion a hip brand and a crippling disease.

My parents are artists in their world in the world of modern artists you are supposed to just go into your studio and tune everything out and your entire relationship with your work is supposed to be a super private one. That was the way to do it and you weren't deeply truly artistic if that wasn't the way you were engaging the press.

The cinema began with a passionate physical relationship between celluloid and the artists and craftsmen and technicians who handled it manipulated it and came to know it the way a lover comes to know every inch of the body of the beloved. I do not believe that artists or actors and people should be out there like voicing their full-blown opinions on politics because let's face it at the end of the day I'm not that smart of a guy.

Music is more emotional than prose more revolutionary than poetry. I'm not saying I've got the answers just a of questions that I don't hear other artists asking.
