I know some actors feel classes are not cool or they create negative public relations but I continue to crave the story just beyond my reach. To grasp that brass ring I need to continue to fine-tune my talents.

If only media people would stop reaching for the low-hanging fruit which is cynicism and pessimism and stopped trying so hard to be hip and cool and have a swagger.

Sydney in the 1960s wasn't the exuberant multicultural metropolis it is today. Out in the city's western reaches days passed in a sun-struck stupor. Their spirituality was in nature even though Emerson was a preacher on the pulpit he ended up going out into nature for direct face-to-face communication with God if you want to call all of this creation part of God.

We have to realize only in communication in real knowledge in real reaching out can there be an understanding that there's humanity everywhere and that's what I'm trying to do.

I do genuinely believe that the political system is not linear. When it reaches a tipping point fashioned by a critical mass of opinion the slow pace of change we're used to will no longer be the norm. I see a lot of signs every day that we're moving closer and closer to that tipping point.
