I think in friendship you want to be there for your friend and sometimes you just don't know what to do or the relationship you have with them is not clear enough for you to know what to do.

No matter what message you are about to deliver somewhere whether it is holding out a hand of friendship or making clear that you disapprove of something is the fact that the person sitting across the table is a human being so the goal is to always establish common ground.

Now we understand much more clearly. why people from all over the world want to come to New York and to America. It's called freedom.

More than anything else let me be clear - we need to be willing to fight for freedom and free markets and traditional moral values. That's what the American people want to see this movement and this party return to.

We clearly realize that freedom's inner kingdom cannot be touched by exterior attacks.

I most sincerely wish that the world in which we live be free from the threat of a nuclear holocaust and from the ruinous arms race. It is my cherished desire that peace be not separated from freedom which is the right of every nation. This I desire and for this I pray.

When we talk of freedom and opportunity for all nations the mocking paradoxes in our own society become so clear they can no longer be ignored.

History suggests that capitalism is a necessary condition for political freedom. Clearly it is not a sufficient condition.

Make no mistake in this campaign I will offer the American ideals of economic freedom a clear and unapologetic defense.

And let me make this very clear - unlike President Obama I will not raise taxes on the middle class. As president I will protect the sanctity of life. I will honor the institution of marriage. And I will guarantee America's first liberty: the freedom of religion.
