My idea of beauty is somebody that doesn't have to try too much someone who is effortless and fresh.

Because if one is writing novels today concentrating on the beauty of the prose is right up there with concentrating on your semi-colons for wasted effort.

We will see that our new attitude toward liquor has been given to us without any thought or effort on our part. It just comes! That is the miracle of it.

If you can attribute your success entirely to your own mental effort to your own attitude to some spiritual essence that you have that is better than other people's then that must feel pretty good.

If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges.

It has taken me years of struggle hard work and research to learn to make one simple gesture and I know enough about the art of writing to realize that it would take as many years of concentrated effort to write one simple beautiful sentence.

All art is exorcism. I paint dreams and visions too the dreams and visions of my time. Painting is the effort to produce order order in yourself. There is much chaos in me much chaos in our time.

Evil is done without effort naturally it is the working of fate good is always the product of an art.

The effort of art is to keep what is interesting in existence to recreate it in the eternal.
