I think every person has their own identity and beauty. Everyone being different is what is really beautiful. If we were all the same it would be boring.

Beauty can make you powerful in a way that isn't good for you. Being OK is better for the person I have become.

Beauty is being in harmony with what you are.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned. But I remember the beauty and thrill of being moved by Broadway musicals - particularly the endings of shows.

My father always taught by telling stories about his experiences. His lessons were about morality and art and what insects and birds and human beings had in common.
