I do a lot of curiosity buying I buy it if I like the album cover I buy it if I like the name of the band anything that sparks my imagination. I still like to go to record stores I like to just wander around and I'll buy whatever catches my attention.

Essentially I'm untrained so I just go with my imagination and try to put myself as solidly as I can into the shoes of whatever person I'm going to be playing.

Well I'm not a method actress by any stretch of the imagination so the best thing that I can do is be as real as possible and find whatever commonality in that character that I can see myself.

But if I have a lot of imagination I could tell myself whatever I wanted you know. I handle myself quite well. I'm kind of fascist with myself you know. There's no discussion. There is an order. You follow it.

Whatever else an American believes or disbelieves about himself he is absolutely sure he has a sense of humor.

I'm Method trained. How is this character like me? What does she think of her mother? What does her mother think of her? It's like construction and then yes you hope you're talented and that the universe aligns and captures the kind of laborer's work you've done and whatever else sprinkles down on you and it's all caught on film or onstage.

When they see those fourteen lights they're looking at a miracle. And deep down they feel that whatever's going to happen there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope.

Whatever I do I hope it's quality I hope it's something that's class.

There are no ideas in the Republican Party right now in the Congress. They're the party of no. They desperately need some intellectual leadership. And whatever you think of Newt Gingrich he can supply intellectual leadership. So I hope he does run.

I hope I left behind a legacy that people will enjoy. But whatever they want to say I can't predict.
